Winterline Asset Management, LLC (“Winterline,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit winterline.com (the “Site”) or contact us, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have.
If you have any questions, contact us at sales@winterline.com or by mail at Winterline Asset Management, LLC, 30 N. Gould Street, Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801.
Who we are
Winterline is a digital asset advisory and M&A firm. We help clients buy and sell premium domains, websites, newsletters, and other digital properties. This policy covers the information we handle in the course of operating our Site and responding to inquiries.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you fill out a contact form, an inquiry form on a marketplace listing, or subscribe to our newsletter, we collect the information you submit — typically your name, email address, and any message or details you choose to share.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our analytics provider automatically collect limited technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, referring pages, and how you interact with the Site. We use privacy-focused analytics configured to minimize the personal data collected.
Cookies and similar technologies. We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies for essential site functionality, security, and (with your consent where required) analytics. You control non-essential cookies through the consent banner on the Site. For details, see our Cookie Policy.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- respond to your inquiries and provide our advisory and brokerage services;
- send our newsletter and updates, where you have asked to receive them;
- operate, secure, and improve the Site, including understanding how it is used;
- protect against spam, fraud, and abuse; and
- comply with our legal obligations.
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases: your consent (for the newsletter and non-essential cookies), our legitimate interests (in operating and securing the Site and responding to business inquiries), and compliance with legal obligations.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us run our business, and only as needed to provide their service:
- HubSpot — customer relationship management and the forms on our Site.
- Beehiiv — our newsletter platform.
- Clicky — privacy-focused website analytics.
- Google reCAPTCHA — spam and abuse protection on our forms (subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms).
- Our hosting and infrastructure providers, which store the Site and its data.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our agreements, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Winterline or others. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this policy — for example, to maintain our client and prospect relationships and our records — and then delete or anonymize it, unless a longer retention period is required by law. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see “Your rights”).
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate information;
- request deletion of your information;
- object to or restrict certain processing; and
- withdraw consent (for example, unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link in any email).
To exercise any of these rights, email us at sales@winterline.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
California residents (CalOPPA / CCPA). California law gives residents the right to know what personal information we collect and to review or request changes to it. To review or request changes to the information you have provided, or to request deletion, contact us at sales@winterline.com.
“Do Not Track.” Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. There is no common industry standard for responding to DNT signals, so our Site does not currently respond to them. You can still control non-essential cookies through our consent banner.
Cookies and consent
Non-essential cookies and analytics load only after you consent through the banner shown when you first visit the Site. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time. See our Cookie Policy for the full list of cookies in use.
International visitors
We are based in the United States and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. If you access the Site from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.
Children
The Site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will post the updated policy on this page and revise the “Effective date” above. Significant changes may also be communicated by email or a notice on the Site.
